2018 Charity Walk

The Hawai‘i Lodging & Tourism Association Charity Walk was held on May 12 and once again this year, Hanalei Bay resort raised more money any other resort on the island - over $43,000!

The Charity Walk is Hanalei Bay Resort’s largest fundraiser every year. Proceeds from pledges gained from participants in this three-mile walk are distributed to any eligible Kauai non-profit charities.

For the fifth year in a row, our Guest Services Manager Lillian Watari (pictured) won the “Golden Slippah,” which is awarded to the individual that raises the most funds. Thank you to all Owners who donated, walked alongside our staff or bought a T-shirt – your donations and efforts will be put to good use in our local communities.

Also in support of the Charity Walk, a Doubles Tennis Tournament was held on May 6 at our Peter Burwash International Tennis Facility. Proceeds from entry fees, sale of plate lunches and a great silent auction were included in our contribution to the Charity Walk.
