As part of the Grand Pacific “Going Green” initiative, Kauai Beach Villas is on a constant search for ways to be more environmentally friendly and conservation minded. Our goal is to minimize waste and reduce the resort’s carbon footprint.
Here is a list of initiatives that we have implemented:
- New “Going Green” posters are on display in the Lobby.
- Newly revised “Going Green” hangers are in place in all unit bathrooms.
- The resort has ordered LED lamps to replace bath vanity light fixtures.
- “Going Green” initiatives are reviewed during the Tuesday morning Owners’ Coffee.
- Bath and kitchen faucet aerators have been replaced with water efficient models.
- The General Manager hosts Beach Clean-Up days.
- Weekly and monthly check lists have been laminated to save paper. Front and back of printed items are being used as scratch paper or recycled.
- Paper plates, bowls, cups and plastic war used at resort Activities are made from recycled or vegetable based materials.
- Exterior door weather stripping and sweeps are being installed for energy efficiency
